The merit of using fewer colors

Mon Jun 8, 2009, 7:59 AM
  • Mood: Artistic
  • Listening to: Classical music
  • Drinking: hot green tea
recently I notice the main cause of the carpal-tunnel is the mouse. my second PC is on the low table and first I put the mouse pad directly on the tatami floor. after I think it may be more handy to put several books under the mouse pad and I do it. the place of the mouse is gain and on the surface it go quite well but it make my wrist bend and when I use the mouse on long time, the wrist must be bent and it press the nerves in the wrists and the carpal-tunnel restart. now I clean up around the second PC and remove the several books. now the numb is disappeared completely but I still have fear on using the mouse on the second PC.

now the rainy season is just drawing near. on this season, the watercolor is difficult to use, so now I mainly use the colored pencil and draw the arts freely. before it's often happen I don't want to draw any arts and grab the colored pencils. on drawing there are many trouble and I'm often annoying. now I gradually control my mind and enjoy the arts, my way is never think over about making the better art. lately I don't show my new terrible arts to friends and submit arts on DA, it's can throw away some mental chain and I draw the art at ease. I don't know how long time I keep on this stance.

now I use mainly 24 + some color pencils. before I use over 100 color and I can find the appropriate color easily from the colored pencil set. but on 24 colored pencils, I have to brend fewer color to make many different colors. but it brush up my color blending skill and now I reglet if I use the fewer colors on the first phase on colored pencils. on the watercolor I use only 6 color and now I think it's enough to make various kind of colors. one of my goal is to make full use of the fewer colors of the colored pencil like the watercolor. but sometimes I want to use more color on colored pencils.

My animals:

5: Koi? Carp? suggested by :iconwildkatsalem:
I hadn't seen the word "Koi" is used in english. when it's requested, I've a few astonished. after I can confirm the Koi on wiki and I know it's pervaded word.

6: Orca suggested by :iconcasanovaunlimited:
I probably haven't draw the orca, I feel the design using black and white is very hard.

I'll draw the antelope with good companies.

8: Giraffe suggested by :icondanisse:
I think to draw the Two type of Kirin(it means giraffe in japanese)

When all lights go out, look for the Nova. Casanova. Unlimited.
I really love your outdoor scenes, and your choice of colors for the seasons is something I could learn from. =)

thank you very much:) I learn something from viewing the landscape and I draw the art as I feel.
Just to keep with the black and white theme -- skunk! Hee hee!

Skunk anthros are pretty neat actually, that tail tends to be very dramatic.

Even though everyday should be celebrated, Valentine's Day is a special day to give more love. What could be bad about that? The love you share doesn't have to be with a partner, it could be with friends, family, or even a random person. A little card, a smile, or just a Happy Valentine's day greeting could warm anyones heart.

:heart:Happy Valentine's Day!

Sincerely,
Elora.
